Adventures in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a unique blend of dense skyscrapers, mountains, and islands. The Bruce Lee statue and the nightly Symphony of Lights show are common tourist spots. These are located Tsim Sha Tsui district in Kowloon.

The Bruce Lee statue is along the Ave. of Stars. There are other nice statues here as well.

Take a ferry to Hong Kong Island for gorgeous views! Tamar Park is a nice reprieve from the hustle of city life.

There are plenty of cycling activities around the city! My favorite was the Po Kong Village Road Park. It's an elevated track dedicated bike riding. If you want something more adventurous, there a waterfront walking & biking path from Tai Wai to Tai Po Waterfront Pier. Bike rentals are available at the Po Kong Village Road Park. There are many bike rental shops after leaving the Tai Wai Metro Station.

The one-way biking route is approximately 15 km.

There are plenty of hiking opportunities on the many islands of Hong Kong. My favorite in order were Lantau Island, Cheung Chan Island, and Lamma Island. Lantau Island has the Tian Tan Budda and a very steep approximately 5 km hike. Cheung Chan Island has a pitch-black cave where the pirate Cheung Po Tsai hid his treasures. Lamma Island has some pretty beaches.

The cable car was not working at the time, so we took a bus from the train station to the Buddha.

There is a bus stop at Pak Kung Au that takes you back to the MTR.
